Update on Fox News mislabeling parties

Yesterday I wrote about Fox News reversing the parties of the U.S. Senate candidates in Rhode Island, labeling Sen. Chafee as a Democrat and challenger Sheldon Whitehouse as a Republican. They posted the video today (if you go, click on Rick Santorum's face), and here's what it shows:

(Incidentally, Bill Sammon of the Washington Examiner, not Fred Barnes, represented the right-wing side of the "debate.")

Do you really think this was an accident, especially after tagging Foley last week with the scarlet "D"? Most viewers, who only see it in passing, will think the GOP candidate is ahead. I'm not sure what that gets them, but even if for argument's sake the mislabeling was accidental, it certainly is suspicious after last week's incidents.

"Fair and balanced?" More like "Slanted and inaccurate." Too bad only those of us smart enough to know the difference understand.
