Leave Bristol alooooone!

Okay, so the news broke today that Sarah Palin's 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant.

I have a few questions:

First, how many fundies' heads are exploding at this moment?

Second, how is it possible that the Huggy Bear campaign didn't know about this before Friday? Or did they know and they thought it wouldn't be an issue?

Third, as a political matter, who the fuck cares whether Bristol is pregnant or not?

Look, folks, it's not an issue because of Bristol Palin herself. It's an issue because of the massive hypocrisy of Republicans, starting with Bristol's own mother. Keep your eye on the ball, folks -- it's Sarah Palin who's the candidate, and it's Sarah Palin whose hypocrisy and bad choices need to be exposed as this campaign continues. If Palin doesn't get the Eagleton treatment, then the next two months are going to be very interesting ... if the last three days have been any indication.
